We had a lovely nature walk with Debora Diggins earlier this month– the families who went got to see a Great Blue Heron (complete with a fish in its bill!) take off in the gloaming and then fly across the moonlit sky. We’re hoping to schedule another nightwalk soon – please keep your eyes open for more details and your fingers crossed for continued beautiful weather!
May 11, 2007 Letter from Bill
Dear Parents,
We had an amazing All School Assembly this past
Wednesday afternoon with the performance by the
Brown University a cappella group Ursa Minor.
One of their members is a former Eliot student.
I look forward to sharing more details about
this women’s singing group in the next
newsletter coming your way soon.
Over half of our Middle School students were
presented with an award for their success on the
National Latin Exam 2007. Sra. Klein presented
certificates and medals to sixth year students
who took the Introductory Exam and to seventh
and eighth year students for the Level I Exam.
These achievements included a gold medal, a
silver medal and a perfect score!
The rest of the Assembly gave us a taste of the
upcoming Middle School Film which we be
premiered during Arts Festival Week; singing by
both Kindergarten classes; an observation by the
Upper Elementary of the lengthening days; a poem
recitation in Spanish by the third graders, and
we collected food donations for Sharing is
Caring which is destined for the Natick Food
Pantry.
Sincerely yours,
Bill
