Vivian Quiroga Klein Spanish & Latin Teacher
Vivian Quiroga Klein has taught Spanish and
Latin at Eliot since 1998. She was born in
Cochabamba, Bolivia. Mrs. Quiroga Klein received a BA
in Modern Language from Boston College and she
is licensed by the state of Massachusetts to
teach Spanish grades 5 to 12. She
readily shares her love of the Hispanic culture
and tradition with Eliot students through the
materials she brings to the classroom, through
cooking, singing, and dancing with the students.
In 2002 Mrs. Quiroga Klein received a grant from the Embassy
of Spain to study at the Universidade Santiago
de Compostela in Galicia and in the summer of
2006 she traveled to Havana, Cuba to present at
the V International Colloquium of Music and
Poetry Nicolás Guillén.
She also shares an interest in the
classics and she serves on the board of ETC,
Excellence through Classics, an organization for
teachers of Latin and Greek at the elementary
school level.
