Bill O'Hearn Head of School
The Eliot Montessori School welcomed Bill
O'Hearn as Head of School in July 2003. He
has spent more than twenty years as an educator
working to build learning communities that
respect and nurture the individual student.
Prior to coming to Eliot, Mr. O'Hearn headed the
Ross School on eastern Long Island, NY for five
years. He holds a BA from Hamilton College and
an MEd. in reading from Fitchburg State College.
Mr. O'Hearn believes in the importance of
knowing children socially, emotionally, and
academically - values at the heart of Eliot
Montessori's mission. The top-notch education
that children receive at Eliot is the direct
result of following the Montessori concepts of
organizing multi-age classrooms, preparing
children for the real world, teaching the whole
child and allowing children to progress at their
own pace. These tenets instill pride and a
life-long love of learning in our students. He
comments that, "I was drawn to the Eliot
Montessori School because of its outstanding
faculty, the respect shown to students, and the
high academic standards upheld in the
classrooms. I appreciate being a part of the
Eliot family and extend Eliot's welcome to South
Natick and surrounding communities."
