Officers
Eileen Adler-President
Eileen lives in Natick with her husband Phil and son Evan. They have been advocates of Montessori education since Evan was 3. Evan attended the founding class of the Natick Montessori School before coming to the Eliot Montessori in the first grade, and is currently in the Middle School.
Eileen is an AVP, Strategy at Sun Life Financial in Wellesley, Massachusetts where she is responsible for driving organizational capability, defining and framing strategic issues, and implementing an aggressive agenda. She has spent nearly 25 years in human resources building an expertise in organizational effectiveness and linking long term strategic goals to short term business results. Eileen has a BS in Management and an MS, in Learning & Development from Lesley University.
Eileen is a former member of the Natick Montessori School Board of Trustees, Founding Family Member, Treasurer and Business Manager.
Eileen is an active fundraiser: raising over $15k for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in the Pan Mass Challenge (190 mile bicycle ride); raising over $40k and rebuilding homes in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina; and running a focused volunteer effort at the Dimock Health Center in Boston. She has also been an Eliot Montessori School parent ambassador for new admissions.
Leo Boyle, Vice President
Leo and his wife Anne live in Dover and their son Connor attended Eliot for four years. Leo has a daughter, Hannah, who is an environmental consultant based in Washington, D.C.; a son, Jody, who is a shipwright in Sausalito, CA; and a son, Clayton, who is in Denver in college. Leo is a trial Lawyer in Boston at the firm Meehan, Boyle, Black & Bogdanow, P.C.. Leo has always enjoyed volunteer legal work and has served as President of the Massachusetts Bar Association, of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and of Trial Lawyers Care, a pro bono legal services organization which represented families victimized by the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Jay Pasco-Anderson, Vice President
Jay, his wife Mindy, and their three children have been part of Eliot Montessori for eleven years. Jay is an electrical engineer with twenty-five years of communications industry experience following BSEE and MEEE degrees from the University of Virginia. He holds twelve patents and has received numerous awards for technological innovation and for leading highly effective teams. After fifteen years at Motorola and one year at Cascade Communications, he became a co-founder of Sonus Networks (Nasdaq: SONS) -- still one of Massachusetts' most successful telecommunications equipment companies. Jay enjoys sailing, meteorology and playing clarinet. Now in his second term on the Executive Committee, he will continue to assist the board on its mission to strengthen the future for Eliot's unique learning environment.
Laurie Davis, Vice President
Laurie and her husband Kirk live in Hopkinton, MA and have two children, Dylan and Skylar currently attending Eliot Montessori School. Laurie grew up in Toms River, NJ and graduated from Kutztown University with a BS in Communications. After several years as Promotions Director for a newspaper group in New Jersey, she moved to New Haven, CT. She then joined Sullivan and LeShane, a legislative lobbying firm specializing in public relations. From there she worked as a publicist for Barnes and Noble representing New England authors. Laurie returned to school attending Springfield College and California State - Northridge to complete her studies in Sports Psychology. Laurie and her husband also own Cracked Rock Media, a growing newspaper company in the Worcester County area. As a member of the Eliot Board of Trustees Laurie will be focusing on Marketing and Admissions.
Anne Reitmayer, Treasurer
Anne resides in Dover with her husband Richard, and daughter, Summer, two dogs and a cat. She grew up in Cambridge MA, just outside of Harvard Square and attended the Buckingham School, a place which contributed much to her own love of learning. In her first visit to Eliot Montessori, Anne saw a place which too fosters life long learning and her daughter, now in 4th grade, has been an Eliot student since kindergarten.
Anne received her BA in Art History from Boston University, her J.D from Northeastern School of Law and her Masters in Taxation from Boston University School of Law. Anne practiced law for a decade during which time, she also did pro bono legal work for a variety of practice areas; taught law and subsequently became the Executive Director for a non profit housing land trust which acquires, develops and preserves affordable housing in metropolitan Boston. For the past ten years, Anne has had her own consulting practice in affordable housing development and finance, working with both non-profit and for profit clients in Eastern MA. Anne is enthusiastic about using her skills and experience on the Board of Directors in the Eliot Community.
Laurel Lyle, Secretary
Laurel and her husband Steve live in Wellesley. They have one child who graduated from Eliot in June 2009 and a child in 4th grade in the Wellesley public schools. Laurel has both a Bachelors and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Prior to having children, she was an HR Director for Homart Development Co., a real estate development firm in Chicago specializing in regional malls. Since then, she has been on the boards of several volunteer organizations, and currently works part-time in Development for the Cure Alzheimer's Fund.

Julie Baker
Julie and her husband David live in Natick with their daughter Eloise, who is currently a third-year student in Mr. Cohen's class. The Bakers have been enormously impressed with the supportive and welcoming environment that the school provides. Eloise literally comes home from school humming and singing every day. Julie is excited about the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors as a way of contributing to and continuing to make this wonderful community available to current and future children and their families. Julie is a graduate of MIT ('87) and B.C. Law ('90), and her law practice focused mainly on criminal defense work. She is currently an Associate Professor of Legal Writing at Suffolk University Law School in Boston and she not-so-secretly believes that many of the techniques for teaching first-year Montessori students translate directly to teaching first-year law students! She has served in the past on the Board of Directors of the Association of MIT Alumnae (AMITA). In her "spare" time, she enjoys reading and hanging around the MFA.
Sharon Botwinik
Sharon and her husband, Steven Bacharach, live in Wayland with their son Marc, who is currently in Upper El. She and her husband have been impressed with the way the teachers and administrators communicate, bring out the best in students, and build a close-knit community. Sharon has more than twenty years of consulting and management experience in manufacturing, financial services, and telecommunications. She has a BS Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Columbia University. In 2002, Sharon founded Business Intelligence Solutions, Inc. a firm that helps companies respond to new regulations through process change, technology enhancement, and organizational redesign. Sharon enjoys travel, music, sports, and spending time with her family. She will provide project management expertise to assist the board in decision-making and navigating to reach Eliot's long-term goals.
Ruth Kaplan Calka
Ruth and her husband, Jim, live in Hopkinton with their three sons. Their two younger boys are at Eliot, currently in Upper Elementary and Lower Elementary. Ruth grew up in Weston, MA and has an undergraduate degree from Brown University. After working for several years with developmentally-delayed children and their families, she returned to school and earned an MBA in Health Care Management from Boston University. From there, Ruth worked as a health care consultant, preparing strategic and business plans for small to mid-sized hospitals. She then became Vice President of Quality at Eagle Electric Supply Co., Inc., leading the company through the ISO 9002 registration process. For the past few years, Ruth has concentrated on the variety of thrills and challenges associated with raising three boys. In her sons' previous Montessori school, Ruth was co-chair of the Parent Association. Ruth will co-chair the Eliot Montessori Parent Association for the second year, and continue her involvement with Board communications.
Robin Godine
Robin lives in Sherborn with her husband Anthony and their two sons, Harry and Aaron. Robin grew up in Marblehead, MA and holds a BA in Gerontology from the University of Bridgeport and an MS in Public Affairs from University of Massachusetts. She has worked in the field of Human Services her entire career, primarily working with adults with developmental disabilities. Her experience includes managing large community-based programs that successfully de-institutionalized individuals to lead productive lives in their community of choice. She is currently the Director of Customer Assessment at The MENTOR Network in Boston, where she designs and implements customer satisfaction surveys for people with disabilities, funding sources, parents, and guardians. Robin's survey work and data analysis is national in scope and involves more than 10,000 people per year.
Jean Ormaza
Jean has been at Eliot since 2005, as the Art Teacher, Computer Teacher and Technology Coordinator. Her son, Francisco is a recent graduate of Eliot--Class of 2009. She has a BFA in Sculpture from Alfred University, and an MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College. She has been an educator and professional artist since 1992 and has taught in a variety of settings from pre-school to the college level. In 1997, she participated in the first year of the Montessori training for ages 3-6 and has been incorporating Montessori philosophy into her teaching ever since.
Her committee work at Eliot includes the Arts Week Committee, AISNE Accreditation Committee and the Technology Committee. She and her family have lived in Quito Ecuador: Kansas City, Missouri: Clinton, NY before moving to Natick.
Susan Ryan Kwiatkowski
Susan and her husband Keith make their home in Natick. Keith is an administrator in the Emergency Department at Massachusetts General Hospital. Their son, Will, is a sixth year in the Eliot Montessori Middle School and a very enthusiastic Ambassador. The Kwiatkowski's have been part of the Eliot Montessori School's fabric beginning with Will's first kindergarten class. Will's older sister, Courtney, is an independent, young woman with an exciting career in retail.
After 20+ years as the Chief Strategic Officer for one of the nation's largest independent media planning and buying companies, Susan co-founded Petta, Ryan & Company in 2005. The Natick based media consulting firm specializes in brand, retail, health care, education, non-profit, and political media strategy and placement. In addition to media, Susan enjoys a strong retail background highlighted by her claim as the first female manager of two foreign auto parts stores in New Jersey.
Susan is currently a member of the Eliot Communications Committee.
